  • Hwayong Jung

    Hwayong Jung is a New York, Seoul-based artist and creator who specializes in digital media. Born in South Korea, he holds an MFA in Computer Art from the School of Visual Arts, NY and MFA, BE from the HongIk University. Jung uses new technology as a tool to create, draw and re-interpret new visual experiences that extend and inform his creative process. His works focus on building a bridge between art, design methodology and new technology via digital print, video and mixed media installation. Jung's works have been featured in exhibitions at Ars Electronica in Lintz Austria; Siggraph Art Gallery, BRIC Arts Media House in Brooklyn, NY; Hyundai Motor Group VH Gallery, South Korea; Dumbo Art Festival, NY; Korean Cultural Service of New York, NY; Boston Cyber Arts Gallery in Boston, MA; Maker Fair in New York, NY; Museum of Contemporary Art of Vojvodina, Novi Sad; and Asia Culture Center in Gwangju South Korea. Hwayong's work has been reviewed in The New York Times, Design Boom, Citybeat, Rhizome, Korea institute of Design Promotion Design among others.
